AmeriBright Learning Center is a community-rooted early childhood program serving children ages 2 to 5. Founded by educators and parents, we offer play-based care that nurtures curiosity, confidence, and cultural pride.
We believe every child deserves a joyful and equitable start, supported by strong relationships and whole-child learning.

Marinbo Medrano
Board Chair & Co-Founder
Educator and former AmeriCorps member. Marinobi brings over five years of experience supporting adult learners and immigrant families in Montgomery County.
Jennifer Owoundi
Board Chair & Co-Founder
Early childhood educator, MSW student at Catholic University and former AmeriCorps member. Jennifer leads curriculum, SEL, and AmeriBright’s program vision.
Akufuna Ngonda
Director of Communications & Board Member
Deputy Director of Project Change AmeriCorps and former AmeriCorps member. Akufuna brings expertise in youth engagement, service leadership, and public outreach.
Lucresse Djuidje Gouayou
Board Member, Operations Advisor
Office manager at GBTLA Saturday School and former AmeriCorps member. Lucresse supports operational planning and community school outreach.
